KruchuVerchu — shawarma delivery app

КручуВерчу

The gist

A shawarma chain from Saint Petersburg got an app on par
with leading food-tech services — from the mark to courier tracking.

We built the brand, the interface and the ordering logic: storefront, catalogue, dish cards,
configurator, basket and tracking — and handed the product over ready for development.

30+ screens
from the storefront to courier tracking
4 steps
from menu to door: menu, card, basket, address
Configurator
the price of every add-on is visible at once
iOS
designed for the App Store

The problem

Shawarma is street food.
But people want to order it like in the best delivery apps.

The chain wanted its own app where street food is ordered as cleanly and quickly
as coffee in the best chains. A plain list menu can’t do that: shawarma is built to taste,
and add-ons, size and sauces change the total.

What was needed

  1. 01

    Ordering in a few taps

So a person goes from the menu to payment along a short path without getting lost in sections.

  2. 02

    Shawarma built to taste

So ingredients, add-ons and sauces are chosen on one screen and the price updates at once.

  3. 03

    A brand recognised on screen

So the yellow, the flipped “ВЕРЧУ” and the spin read in every gesture, not only in the logo.

What we built

We built the whole app — from the mark to courier tracking.

Storefront, catalogue, dish cards, configurator, basket and tracking — in one design system.
The brand name spins around the skewer, and so does the interface: from building a shawarma to the order status ring.

  1. Design system: palette, type, icons
  2. Storefront and catalogue on real photos
  3. Configurator with the price of every add-on
  4. Basket, address and courier tracking

And that is not all

You can build your own shawarma.

The configurator shows a photo of every ingredient and an honest price for each add-on,
and the total updates on the fly — with no extra screens.

The order path

From the menu to the door.

The whole order path is designed as one movement: menu, card, basket, address.

The main result

We did not just draw screens.
We built a product that is ready for development.

30+ screens, the design system and the ordering logic were handed to the client — from the storefront to courier tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Besides the design, did you also build the app itself?

We were responsible for the design: the brand, the interface and the logic of every screen. The result is 30+ screens and a design system ready for development, not a finished app.

We run a pizzeria, not a shawarma place. Would the configurator work the same way?

It works wherever a product is assembled for the customer rather than chosen from a ready list: the configurator and ordering logic are built on the same principle.

Why does the price of every ingredient matter so much in the configurator?

Shawarma is assembled to order, and extras change the total. The configurator shows a photo of every ingredient and its price straight away, and recalculates the total on the fly.

Why was the design built for iOS rather than Android first?

The client was planning to publish on the App Store, so the design system and every screen were designed specifically for iOS.

How many steps are there from the menu to the order?

Four: menu, dish card, cart, address. The path is designed as a single motion, with no extra sections.
