Corporate website: why a company needs one and what to include

By Natali Shumilovskaya · · 8 min read · updated

A corporate website is a company's official presence online: who you are, what you do, who you have worked with and how to reach you. The minimum frame is a home page, services, cases, an about section and contacts with company details. In our price list this format is called a business card website and starts from $1,900.

Key takeaways

  • A corporate website answers the questions asked about a company before a deal: what you do, what you have already delivered, who owns the business and how to reach you.
  • The minimum frame is a home page, services as separate pages, cases, an about section, contacts with company details and a personal data policy.
  • A landing page serves one campaign, while a corporate website works for years and speaks to clients, partners and job seekers at the same time.
  • Advertising in Uzbekistan is distributed in the state language, so the Uzbek version of landing pages is planned in advance.
  • A corporate website (a business card website in our price list) starts from $1,900, and support after launch from $250 per month.

Why a company needs a corporate website

A website matters where the company is checked before a deal: it answers questions that otherwise go to a manager or are never asked. It covers five jobs.

Which sections a corporate website needs

The exact set depends on the business, but the frame is common: without it a visitor does not find an answer and leaves. Check that everything on this list is in place.

A separate page per service is not about volume but about search: people look for a specific service, and a general “what we do” section does not answer that query.

How a corporate website differs from a landing page

A landing page is one page for one offer and one action; a corporate website is a system of pages for different audiences. The formats do not compete: campaign landing pages live alongside the website.

How a one-page landing is built and which blocks it must contain is covered in landing pages for business: structure and common mistakes.

What builds trust on a company website

Trust is built from details a visitor can verify, not from statements about reliability. People look for signs that the company is alive and working right now.

Example In the SHUMI project we built the website together with the CRM: every request from the site lands in the right pipeline without manual transfer. That changes not the design but the speed of the reply — and it only shows when the site and the sales system are connected.

CMS or custom development

For a corporate website a widely used content management system is the usual choice: the team edits texts, adds cases and vacancies on its own. Custom development is needed when the site becomes part of a product: portals, calculations, data exchange.

We work with proven content management systems, including WordPress and 1C-Bitrix, and with custom solutions. The choice comes down to three questions: who will change the content and how often, which integrations are needed and what happens to the site in three years.

Language versions: Russian, Uzbek, English

For a company in Uzbekistan the normal set is Russian and Uzbek, with English added when there are foreign partners or exports. The choice of languages follows the audience, but the law sets a separate requirement for advertising materials.

Under article 6 of the Law On Advertising ZRU-776 of 7 June 2022, advertising in Uzbekistan is distributed in the state language; translation into other languages is allowed if it does not distort the meaning. This applies to the ads and banners that lead to the site, so the Uzbek version of landing pages is planned in advance.

Contact forms and personal data

A form on the site collects a name, phone number and email, which are personal data, so a processing policy and consent are required — that is the Law on Personal Data ZRU-547. The policy is placed on a separate page and linked under every form.

The question of whether the site and its requests may be hosted abroad is settled by article 27-1 as amended by law ZRU-1125 of 26 March 2026: biometric and genetic data and data of telecom operators' users must be stored in Uzbekistan. Ordinary contact details from a form are not on that list, and cross-border transfer follows the conditions of part three of the same article.

How development runs and what comes next

Development goes step by step, and most decisions are made before the design stage. This is how we run a corporate website project.

  1. We study the company's business processes and its competitors.
  2. We choose a content management system so that you can run the site yourself.
  3. We build a prototype and the structure of the interface.
  4. We design the pages.
  5. We write the page content where needed.
  6. We build and program the site, connect integrations and analytics.
  7. We test it, move it to your hosting and do basic search optimisation.

Launch is not the end of the project. Domain, certificate, backups, updates and availability monitoring need constant attention: what exactly to watch is covered in website launch and support. Our website support starts from $250 per month.

Visibility is a separate part of the work. Structure, page addresses and texts are planned for search from the start: see do you still need SEO when AI answers the questions and how to get into AI answers.

Common mistakes that get expensive later

Most problems with a corporate website come from decisions made at the start rather than from the design. These are the ones that usually surface a year later.

How much a corporate website costs

A corporate website, called a business card website in our price list, starts from $1,900. The price depends not on the number of pages but on how much content and how many connections have to be assembled.

Website formats and prices are on the service page website development. Hosting, domain and email are paid separately and stay with your legal entity.

How we build corporate websites

Syntra Systems builds a corporate website as part of the infrastructure rather than as a standalone picture: it is connected to CRM and analytics, and requests land in the sales pipeline instead of a shared mailbox.

Before development we work out who comes to the site and why, which questions are asked before a deal and which materials the company already has. That produces the structure, and only then come design and build.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a website if we have social media pages?

Social media complements a website but does not replace it: platforms change their rules, limit reach and can block a page. A website is the only channel a company fully owns, and it is the one people open when they check a company before signing a contract.

Which pages must a company website have?

A homepage, a separate page for each service, case studies, an about page, contacts with company details, and a personal data processing policy. Separate service pages matter for search: people look for a specific service, and a general ‘What we do’ section doesn't answer that query.

How often should a website be updated?

Content follows events: a new case, a new service, changed contacts or prices. Technically it is continuous: CMS updates, checking forms and links, renewing the domain and the certificate. A full redesign is usually needed when the site stops reflecting the real scale of the company.

Do we need an Uzbek version of the website?

If your clients and staff read in Uzbek, yes — and the content should be translated, not just the menu. Note separately that advertising in Uzbekistan is distributed in the state language, so the pages your ads lead to are best prepared in Uzbek from the start.

Can the website be hosted abroad?

For an ordinary corporate website, yes. Mandatory storage in Uzbekistan under article 27-1 of the law on personal data covers biometric and genetic data and data of telecom operators' users. Contact details from a web form are not on that list, though the conditions for cross-border transfer still apply.

How much does a corporate website cost?

With us, from $1,900 — in our price list this format is called a business card website. The price rises with the number of sections and language versions, how ready the texts and photos are, and CRM integrations; hosting, the domain and mail are billed separately and registered to your legal entity, with support from $250 a month.

What should we do with the old site during a redesign?

Keep the page addresses that links and search already point to, or set up redirects to the new ones. Otherwise accumulated rankings and external links disappear along with the old structure. Content that brings enquiries is moved across as it is, not rewritten for the sake of a refresh.
