The restaurant stopped gathering guests for its wine dinners
in private messages. A Telegram bot does it now.
SIMACH is a restaurant in central Moscow. Its wine dinners are evening events:
wines from a single region, a chef’s set menu and live music.
Sign-ups lived in the administrator’s private chats.
Guests wrote in private messages, and their contacts stayed buried in chats.
Some requests got lost, and after a dinner the restaurant didn’t know who actually came
or what they liked. Every new evening had to be gathered from scratch.
Collect guests in one database
So that names, phone numbers and consent to data processing are kept in one place, not in the administrator’s chats.
Sell the next dinner to the same database
So that the invitation to a new evening reaches those who have already come or shown interest — without manual mailing.
We built a Telegram bot that takes a guest from the QR code on the table to a sign-up.
The QR code stands on the tables and on the evening poster. The bot greets the guest, asks for consent
to data processing, then for a name and phone number. The request goes straight to the manager.

The screens reproduce the actual conversation with the bot (in Russian, as the guests see it); the guest’s name is fictional.
The second dinner was sold by the same bot.
Before the new evening, the bot sent invitations across the database — with its own text for each group.
Signing up takes one button: guests who have already left their contacts don’t fill in the form again.
The first sign-up came in 10 minutes after the mailing.
After the dinner, the bot collects feedback on its own.
The guest rates the evening from 1 to 5 and adds a few words. With a rating of 3 or lower,
the manager instantly gets the guest’s phone number to call back while the evening is still fresh.

“They built a great Telegram bot and made changes quickly. We hope for long-term, productive work”
Ilgam, manager of SIMACH restaurant
The restaurant got its own guest database —
and a channel that sells every next dinner.
Every next dinner launches in one evening.
A new poster, new texts — and the bot invites guests from the database again.
With a Telegram bot: a QR code sits on the tables and on the evening’s poster. The bot asks for consent to process data, then for a name and phone number, and the request goes straight to the manager.
35 seconds.
It sends invitations across the database with a separate text for each group: those who came last time, those who signed up but did not come, and those who did not finish signing up. The first booking arrived 10 minutes after the mailing.
The bot asks for a rating from 1 to 5 and a few words. For a rating of 3 or lower the manager immediately gets the guest’s phone number to call back.
Its own guest database with data processing consents — it grew 1.5 times between dinners — and a channel through which each next dinner is launched in an evening.
